JAGUAR'S STABILIZED CONNECTORS
Stablized Taps and Stablized Taps with Integral Ball Valve are designed to
combat two common problems in gas measure.
- They are designed to provide a rigid direct connection between the taps
of an orifice fitting and differenetial pressure transmitter or flow meter.
This is accomplished by transferring the load of the assembly from the 1/2" npt
pipe taps on an orifice fitting to a connector which can spread the load over
a much larger area. This eliminates the radial load on the threads which can
case small leaks in the measurement system. This also allows the system to
safely bear the greater loads presented by direct mounting today's flow computers.
- the stablized taps and stabilized tapes with integral ball valve employ
a straight 3/8" I.D. path to the differential pressure cell. This has been
demonstrated to reduce or eliminate errors induced by the phenomena of line
pulsation. Line pulsation has been shown to induce a positive or negative error
when flow meters are remotely mounted or pipe mounted.
Jaguar's Stablized Tap with Ball Valve has several unique features for eas
of installation and safety.
- The metal seated swivel construction allows the unit to be installed on
2 1/8" centers without disassembly of the handles or stems which is necessary
in convention plug valve construction.
- The 1/4 turn ball valves allows for quick and positive shut off.
- The 316 SS Ball is designed to seat against the metal body in the closed
position in the event of a fire.
- The units can be used as a root valve.
